Who are we?

Hello and welcome to ‘For The Love Of Puzzles’.

After almost 30 years in the photography business ranging from product photography, newborn, weddings, family portraits, cosplay portraits and currently modelling portfolios, I started to think about what I could do in retirement when my body, especially my knees, will no longer support me in the studio. Crawling around on the floor for 8 hours shooting kids isn’t fantastic on my 55 year old body.

During a health crisis a few years back, I found jigsaw puzzles very therapeutic, especially for my anxiety and I thought, “Why can’t I combine my photography skills with jigsaw puzzles and create my own range?” After some research and trying to find printers that don’t charge an arm and a leg, I sourced a printer in China that fitted my current budget. Starting out as a soul trader often means tight budgets.

My business plan is to:

1. Start with 10 designs of my own.

2. Outsource wholesalers and offer a range of puzzles and games from other manufacturers (coming)

3. Create a ‘signature series’ range of puzzles exclusively with my photography.

4. Start a line of children’s puzzles (coming)

5. Create a series of ‘greeting cards’ with my personal photography and designs (coming)
